Michael Pizer says: "Kuperwaser lived in the bulding next to the Przedecki house on the right. They were a blonde family. There was Moishe and Yankif. They were well-off. Repaired shoes and sold goods.”
In an email received from Carole Kushnir in March 2007 inquiring about the Kuperwasser family, it was discovered that the Kuperwasser family changed their name to Cooper in the U.S. There are several Cooper connections to Judy's family and Klodawa.
There were at least three siblings that came to the U.S.: Isidore, Max, and Sara-Lea. Sara-Lea married Samuel Pizer, and so is a cousin through marriage. Max's first wife Reina, later married Louis Opper [Opoczynski] a very close friend to both the Francuz and Pizer family. Louis Opper's first wife was Freyda Francuz-Bayla (Francuz), Przedecki's sister. Isidore was very active in the Klodawa Society of the 1950s.
Also, Max Cooper's memoirs have been graciously sent by Carole Kushnir to Judy Muratore. Scroll down to the bottom of the page with the photos to reach the link to Max's memoirs.
THANK YOU CAROLE!
